Sun Island Night Fishing

As we often do in the Maldives, Sebastian and I went on an organised night fishing trip. (Tracey, very sensibly, decided to stay behind.) The fishing technology is very primitive - just reels of line with weights and a big hook, baited with lumps of cut fish.

I caught nothing. Sebastian, on the other hand, managed to catch one fish. Here he is, holding it up for approval.

On the return from the trip, the fish is taken away to the kitchens, where it is cleaned and prepared, then barbeque'd in front of you. We were a bit tired for this, though!
